Clarifies that charter schools may receive shared time aid for home-schooled students who attend charter school part-time and meet home school attendance requirements under section 120A.22.

Requires resident districts to grant charter schools permission to claim home-schooled shared time pupils as residents for state aid purposes upon request, with shared time aid paid to the charter school of attendance.

Amends the prohibition on using charter schools for home-schooled students to create an exception allowing shared time aid to be generated and paid to charter schools for eligible home-schooled students.

Applies the shared time aid provisions to charter schools on the same basis as traditional school districts under existing shared time aid law.

Effective for revenue in fiscal year 2014 and later.
