Appropriates $1,000,000 from the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for State Capitol building renovation in fiscal year 2013.

Appropriates $30,000,000 annually from the arts and cultural heritage fund beginning July 1, 2014 through July 1, 2021 for renovation, restoration, and repairs of the State Capitol building.

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 129D.17 by adding a new subdivision for State Capitol building preservation funding.

Exempts the State Capitol building appropriations from subdivision 3 restrictions.

Designated funding is intended to preserve Minnesota's history and cultural heritage through State Capitol building improvements.
