Amends Minnesota Statutes section 123B.147 to modify principal evaluation requirements for school districts.

Requires districts to develop and implement performance-based annual evaluation systems for school principals that include formative and summative evaluations.

Mandates that evaluations incorporate longitudinal data on student academic growth as 35 percent of the evaluation component, along with on-the-job observations, surveys, and previous evaluations.

Requires evaluations to be consistent with principals' job descriptions, district long-term plans, and professional growth plans while supporting instructional leadership, curriculum quality, and school performance.

Effective for the 2013-2014 school year and later.
