Modifies the definition of "associated business" in Minnesota campaign finance law to include persons, associations, corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and other legal entities from which an individual receives compensation exceeding $50 per month or holds securities worth $2,500 or more.

Expands "associated business" to include lobbyists, principals, or interested persons who compensate an individual more than $200 annually for services provided as an independent contractor or consultant.

Defines "interested person" as someone with a direct financial interest in decisions that a public official is authorized to make, where the financial interest is of greater consequence to the payer than the general interest of other residents or taxpayers.

Requires disclosure to include both the association paying compensation and the lobbyist or interested person receiving the services when an individual is compensated by an association for providing services to a third party as an independent contractor or consultant.
