MN HF2813

Increases the number of University of Minnesota Board of Regents members who must be current students from one to two members.

Requires student regent candidates to be enrolled in a degree program at the university at the time of election.

Allows student regents to represent either the state at large or a congressional district, rather than requiring state-at-large representation only.

Mandates that when a student regent position becomes vacant or a term expires, it must be filled by another person meeting the same student qualifications.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 137.023.
