Modifies Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 144.058 to establish a voluntary statewide roster for spoken language health care interpreters managed by the Commissioner of Health.

Roster database shall include searchable entries with interpreter name, education, experience, language proficiency test scores, geographic areas served, interpreting skills test scores, agency affiliations, and other relevant information.

Interpreters must complete an application, prove they are at least 18 years old, agree to abide by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care's Code of Ethics, pay an annual $50 fee, and authorize a criminal background check.

Commissioner must verify the identity and information submitted by interpreters before listing them on the roster; unverified information shall not be included.

Criminal background checks shall disqualify interpreters from roster inclusion if they indicate criminal behavior; annual fee revenue shall be deposited in the state government special revenue fund.
