Prohibits the nontherapeutic use of antimicrobial agents in food-producing animals, defined as use for growth promotion, feed efficiency, weight gain, routine disease prevention, or other routine purposes without clinical signs of disease.

Allows therapeutic use of antimicrobial agents under veterinary supervision for treating sick food-producing animals.

Prohibits the sale or offer for sale in Minnesota of any food or food product from food-producing animals that received nontherapeutic antimicrobial agents, regardless of origin.

Defines "antimicrobial agent" as any drug or substance used in or intended for human use to treat or prevent disease, or any substance that kills or inhibits bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, or other microorganisms.
