Extends the time foreclosed homeowners can remain in their property after the redemption period ends, allowing them to stay until two weeks before the new owner moves in.

Requires notice to mortgagors within three days before acquiring fee title to foreclosed property, including the sale date, purchaser identity, sheriff's sale price, and redemption rights information.

Updates the required notice of redemption rights to inform homeowners they can remain in their home for an additional two weeks after the redemption period, beyond which eviction proceedings may be filed.

Creates a new statutory section (580.061) establishing the limited right for former owners to retain possession of residential property until two weeks prior to a new owner's occupancy.

Effective for all foreclosures commenced on or after August 1, 2012.
