Prohibits agreements that release, limit, or waive liability for damages arising from negligence or defects in premises as against public policy and void.

Makes such waivers unenforceable while preserving the ability to waive liability for injuries resulting from inherent risks in particular activities.

Defines "party" to include persons, agents, servants, employees, minors, and anyone authorized to sign agreements on behalf of minors.

Effective August 1, 2011, and applies to causes of action commenced on or after that date.
