Prohibits Minnesota state and local government entities from restricting the sharing of citizenship and immigration status information with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Prevents political subdivisions from enacting ordinances, regulations, or policies that limit or prohibit criminal justice agencies and peace officers from cooperating with federal officials regarding immigration status or enforcement of federal immigration laws.

Allows public employees to send, receive, maintain, and exchange immigration status data with federal, state, and local government entities without prohibition or restriction.

Grants private right of action to Minnesota residents to file writs of mandamus compelling noncooperating government entities and officials to comply with reporting and enforcement laws.

Effective the day following final enactment.
