• Establishes a coordinated licensure information system administered by a nonprofit organization controlled by state nurse licensing boards to collect, store, and share information on nurse licensure and enforcement actions across party states.

• Requires party states to report adverse actions, disciplinary matters, and current significant investigative information through the coordinated system, with the home state retaining primary authority to impose discipline on its licensees.

• Creates a Nurse Licensure Compact Advisory Committee appointed by the Board of Nursing to advise on implementation, composed of nursing organization representatives, hospital and nursing facility nurses, home care nurses, advanced practice nurses, and public members.

• Appropriates $149,000 in fiscal year 2013 from the state government special revenue fund to the Board of Nursing, with a base increase of $6,000 for fiscal years 2014 and 2015; effective upon implementation of the coordinated licensure system by July 1, 2012.
