Transit authorities must maintain bus stops and transit shelters in good working order, including weekly inspection of automatic doors, graffiti removal, and snow/ice removal to ensure accessibility for boarding and entering shelters.

Metropolitan Council must maintain a public website with transit shelter information, including design specifications, annual construction and retrofit summaries, and financial data on shelter costs.

Metropolitan Council must retrofit or replace all special transportation service buses in revenue service by January 1, 2012, so the first boarding step is easily accessible to riders, applicable in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties.
