Amends Minnesota Statutes section 121A.17, subdivision 3 to modify the written notice parents receive regarding early childhood developmental screening.

Requires the notice to include specific language explaining that screening helps identify children who may benefit from district and community resources, and clarifying that vision screening is not a substitute for comprehensive eye exams.

Maintains existing requirements that parents can decline to answer questions about family circumstances without preventing kindergarten or first grade enrollment if other screening components are completed.

Requires notice to inform parents that children with comparable developmental screening performed within the preceding 365 days by a health care provider can be exempt from district screening.

Takes effect the day following final enactment and applies to new written notices printed after that date.
