Commissioner of transportation may enter into an agreement with the city of Paynesville to redirect state funds originally granted for the Trunk Highway 23 bypass land acquisition project to airport improvements and aeronautical purposes instead.

Redirected funds must be used by June 30, 2015, as the state's share of costs for airport improvements at Paynesville's airport.

Any funds not spent for airport purposes by June 30, 2015, must be returned to the commissioner of transportation and deposited into the state airports fund.
