Extends felony penalties under Minnesota Statutes section 609.7475 to include retaliation against sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and county recorders for performance of official duties.

Adds two new categories to felony offense: retaliation against a sheriff or deputy sheriff for conducting a sheriff's sale of real property, and retaliation against a county recorder for filing liens on real property.

Increases penalties to imprisonment for not more than five years or a fine of not more than $10,000, or both, when the fraudulent finance statement offense involves retaliation against these officials.

Effective August 1, 2012, and applies to offenses committed on or after that date.
