Amends Minnesota Statutes section 16A.125, subdivision 5, regarding permanent school trust fund lands and forest management cost allocation.

Defines "fire suppression" to include both preventative measures and direct costs associated with preventing and extinguishing fires on state forest trust lands.

Prohibits fire suppression costs from being certified and assessed against permanent school trust fund lands beginning July 1, 2013.

Requires the commissioner of management and budget to certify forestry costs by category, including separate specification of fire suppression costs, for allocation among trust funds.

Effective the day following final enactment.
