Defines "in a grossly negligent manner" as operating a motor vehicle with very great negligence or without even slight care in Minnesota Statutes section 609.21.

Establishes factors that fact finders may consider when determining gross negligence in vehicular operation, including lack of sleep, length of time operating the vehicle, presence of sure warning signs, influence of drugs or alcohol, and strenuous activities before operation.

Applies to crimes committed on or after August 1, 2012.
