Amends Minnesota Statutes section 123B.49, subdivision 4, to allow physically able resident pupils temporarily placed in care and treatment programs to participate in district extracurricular activities on the same basis as public school students.

Extends existing extracurricular activity eligibility that previously applied only to resident pupils receiving instruction in home schools to also include those in temporary care and treatment placements.

Maintains existing definitions and characteristics of extracurricular activities, including that they are not offered for school credit, not required for graduation, and conducted outside regular school hours or at approved times.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
