Eliminates the 20-year survival period for child support judgments, making them subject to the standard 10-year survival period for all other money judgments under Minnesota Statutes section 541.04.

Removes language that previously provided child support judgments (including those by operation of law) with extended 20-year survival periods and lien continuation on real property.

Establishes that child support judgments may be renewed pursuant to section 548.091 rather than relying on extended survival periods.

Amendments are effective retroactively from April 15, 2010, the date the 20-year provision was originally enacted.
