Allows licensed physicians in health professional shortage areas to dispense drugs within limited service pharmacies located in health care facilities if no other licensed pharmacy exists within 15 miles.

Physicians dispensing drugs under this provision must be licensed under chapter 147 and can renew their dispensing license annually, with supervision delegated to board-adopted rules.

Permits physicians to be assisted by certified pharmacy technicians when dispensing drugs, with supervision that does not require physical presence if pharmacist availability is maintained electronically or by telephone.

Authorizes automated drug distribution systems in nursing homes, housing with services establishments, community behavioral health hospitals, and Department of Human Services facilities, with systems operated under a managing pharmacy's control.

Requires managing pharmacies to notify the state board at least 60 days before initial use of automated drug distribution systems and provide written policies and procedures governing system operation.
