Amends Minnesota Statutes section 337.05, subdivision 1, to add new restrictions on insurance requirements in building and construction contracts

Prohibits agreement or contract provisions that require one party to provide insurance coverage for the negligence or intentional acts or omissions of another party or third party

Declares such provisions void and unenforceable as against public policy

Preserves the validity of agreements whereby a party voluntarily agrees to provide specific insurance coverage for the benefit of others

Effective the day following final enactment and applies to agreements entered into on and after that date
