Renames the "Ladder Out of Poverty Task Force" to the "Asset Development and Financial Literacy Task Force"

Removes the attorney general as a standing member but requires the task force to ensure the attorney general has opportunity to meet with and present views to the task force

Expands task force duties to focus on reducing asset poverty and increasing household financial security by improving opportunities to earn, learn, save, invest, and protect assets, including expansion of the Family Assets for Independence in Minnesota (FAIM) program and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) program

Extends the task force expiration date from June 1, 2012 to June 1, 2014 and shifts reporting requirement from June 1, 2012 to during the 2013 and 2014 legislative sessions

Moves appointment deadline from August 15, 2010 to August 15, 2012
