Modifies annual financial statement requirements for Hennepin County to align with Minnesota Statutes section 375.17, subdivision 1, rather than requiring statements annually.

Allows Hennepin County to publish annual financial statements in either a qualified newspaper of general circulation or on the county's website, instead of strictly following section 375.17 requirements.

Requires financial statements posted on the county website to be easily identifiable to the public and maintained online for at least 12 months from initial posting or until a more recent statement is published.

Maintains requirement that audited annual financial statements remain available for public inspection upon request.

Applies to financial statements for all county funds prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
