Allows persons holding one-year teaching licenses who taught in language immersion programs during the 2011-2012 school year to continue teaching through the end of the 2013-2014 school year.

Requires that the teacher have obtained a one-year license to teach and been granted a visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Provides an exception to Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 122A.18, subdivision 2, allowing the Board of Teaching to approve continued teaching beyond normal one-year license limitations.

Effective retroactively from February 22, 2012.
