State employees covered by the state employee group insurance plan must contribute at least $90 per month toward health insurance premiums for employee-only coverage during the biennium ending June 30, 2013

State employees with family hospital and medical coverage must contribute at least $270 per month toward premiums during the same biennium

The contribution requirements take effect the day following final enactment for non-unionized employees, implemented at the start of the first payroll period after the effective date

For employees covered by collective bargaining agreements that prevent implementation, the governor or judicial branch appointing authority must take authorized steps to terminate those agreements as soon as possible and implement the requirements upon termination
