Amends Minnesota Statutes section 169.48 to expand vehicle lighting display requirements beyond the three specified conditions (sunset to sunrise, precipitation, and impaired visibility).

Removes the specific enumerated conditions and the 500-foot visibility distance threshold, replacing them with a more general requirement that vehicles display lighted headlamps and tail lamps on highways.

Eliminates the special provision requiring school buses to display lights from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset, incorporating those requirements into the general lighting standards.

Repeals subdivision 2 which stated that violations of the precipitation lighting requirement were not negligence per se or prima facie evidence of negligence.
