Requires auto insurers to inform insureds with rental vehicle reimbursement coverage under collision or comprehensive policies of their right to select any rental vehicle company.

Mandates insurers provide a specific advisory when recommending a rental vehicle company: "Minnesota law gives you the right to choose any rental vehicle company, and prohibits me from requiring you to choose a particular vendor."

Prohibits insurers from engaging in intimidation, coercion, threats, incentives, or inducements to compel insureds to use a particular rental vehicle company.

Effective August 1, 2011, and applies to claims incurred on or after that date under policies issued or renewed on or after that date.
