Amends Minnesota Statutes section 192.26 to clarify that state and municipal employees who are National Guard or military reserve members may choose when to use their 15 days of annual paid military leave.

Employees may use all 15 days of paid military leave at one time or divide and take the days throughout the calendar year at their discretion.

Maintains existing requirements that military service must be satisfactorily performed and employees must return to their public position immediately upon being relieved from military duty or within the allowed leave period.

Protects employee benefits including seniority status, efficiency rating, vacation, and sick leave during authorized military leave.

Applies to members of the National Guard, state militia, officers' reserve corps, enlisted reserve corps, Naval Reserve, Marine Corps reserve, and other federal military reserve components.
