Creates new statute 13.824 to classify law enforcement data received from other jurisdictions as non-disclosable under Minnesota's data practices law.

Data received by Minnesota law enforcement agencies from out-of-state or federal law enforcement agencies cannot be disclosed, and access requests must be referred to the originating jurisdiction.

Exception allows data to be governed by chapter 13 (data practices) when it becomes part of an active criminal investigation involving an adult in Minnesota.

Exception allows data to be governed by chapter 260B (juvenile delinquency) when it becomes part of an active juvenile delinquency investigation involving a child in Minnesota.
