Permits the commissioner to issue additional disability license plates to spouses of individuals who are eligible for disability plates under Minnesota law.

Applies to motor vehicles, motorcycles, one-ton pickup trucks, and self-propelled recreational vehicles owned or operated by permanently physically disabled persons or their custodial parents/guardians.

Allows issuance of one additional plate for motorcycles or one additional set of plates for other vehicles to a spouse, except the State Council on Disability may approve further additional plates or sets.

Requires medical statements or proof of disability when first applying for disability plates, unless the vehicle is specially modified for and used exclusively by permanently physically disabled persons.

Allows vehicle owners who employ permanently physically disabled persons to obtain disability plates for vehicles furnished exclusively for that employee's use in their employment.
