MN HF2007

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 624.714, subdivision 16 to recognize North Dakota carry permits as valid in Minnesota regardless of whether North Dakota's permit laws are substantially similar to Minnesota's laws.

Allows persons holding a North Dakota carry permit to use it in Minnesota subject to the same rights, privileges, and requirements as other recognized out-of-state permits.

Maintains prohibition on out-of-state permits for individuals prohibited by law from possessing firearms.

Allows sheriffs or police chiefs to petition courts to suspend or revoke an out-of-state permit holder's authority to carry in Minnesota under specified grounds, with permit holders awarded reasonable costs and attorney fees if the petition is denied.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
