Secretary of state may obtain personal information from Department of Public Safety to increase voter registration and improve accuracy of voter registration records, with data retention limited to 60 days.

Secretary of state may periodically obtain lists from Department of Public Safety identifying voters with driver's license or state ID address changes and those with out-of-state cancellations due to residency changes.

Secretary of state may share voter registration system data with multi-state voter registration organizations, including name, date of birth, address, driver's license/ID number, last four digits of Social Security number, and record update date, subject to data security approval.

Secretary of state cannot load driver's license or state ID address data into the statewide voter registration system within 47 days before the state primary or general election in November.

Secretary of state may not use state appropriations (other than federal or grant funds) during the 2014-2015 biennium for multi-state voter registration data sharing agreements; grant funds from 501(c)(3) organizations must be deposited in special revenue fund and reported to legislative finance committees.
