Study abroad program organizers must file annual reports by June 1 each year documenting deaths, hospitalizations, sexual assaults, and police-involved incidents involving program participants from the previous calendar year.

Programs cannot offer credit at postsecondary institutions unless the organizer complies with reporting requirements.

Programs failing to submit annual reports by June 1 are prohibited from offering study abroad credit in the following calendar year.

The Office of Higher Education must publish reported program information on its website in a searchable format by program.

Program organizers must include a link to the Office website in written materials provided to prospective participants with access to program health and safety information.
