Extends the maximum length of approved postsecondary education or training programs from 24 months to four years for MFIP participants.

Requires job counselors to discuss education plans with participants and evaluate options including employment opportunities and admission requirements, with exemptions for career pathway programs, 12-week programs, and final-year participants.

Allows participants without a high school diploma, GED, or Minnesota adult diploma to pursue these credentials as approved work activities while making satisfactory progress.

Extends the job search period after training completion from six weeks to 12 weeks before participants must accept suitable employment or revise their employment plan.

Removes restrictions on English as a second language (ESL) classes and adult basic education hour limitations, and eliminates the 24-month combined limit on ESL participation across MFIP programs.
