Beginning July 1, 2014, electric utilities must request applicants for distributed renewable energy generation interconnection to provide nameplate capacity, total pre-incentive installed cost, energy source, and facility zip code in a commissioner-prescribed format

Commissioner of Energy must develop or identify a system to collect and process interconnection information from each utility and make non-project-specific data publicly available on a periodic basis in a format determined by the commissioner

Commissioner may solicit proposals from outside parties to develop the data collection system

Electric utilities are not responsible for accuracy, completeness, or quality of information collected and transferred under this requirement

Information remains nonpublic until the commissioner releases it to the public as provided in the bill; effective the day following final enactment
