Online learning providers must notify the enrolling district by May 31 of each year regarding a student's application to enroll in online learning for the following school year.

Students and parents must submit an application to the online learning provider, identify their reason for enrolling, and notify the provider of intent to enroll within ten days of acceptance.

Students age 17 or younger must have written parental consent to apply for online learning enrollment.

Supplemental online course enrollment is only permitted if notice was given to the enrolling district by May 31 for the following school year, unless the district waives this requirement for special circumstances.

Enrolling districts must respond within 15 days of receiving course information to confirm whether the supplemental online course meets the district's graduation requirements.
