Effective October 1, 2014, increases operating payment rates for nursing facilities under common ownership in Aitkin, Dakota, Olmsted, Pennington, Renville, St. Louis, Stevens, and Traverse Counties that did not provide group health insurance in 2013.

Rate increase is sized to cover the cost of newly acquired health insurance as determined by the commissioner, applied to a resource utilization group rate with a weight of 1.00.

Rate adjustment under this provision applies before any other operating payment rate adjustments effective October 1, 2014, and maintains the same percentage of case-mix adjustment as existed on September 30, 2014.

Appropriates $343,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2015 to the commissioner of human services for the nursing facility rate adjustments.
