$7,625,000 appropriated from bond proceeds to the adjutant general for military affairs capital projects, including $5,000,000 for asset preservation improvements statewide, $1,244,000 for Brooklyn Park Armory renovation and addition, and $1,381,000 for Owatonna Armory renovation and motor vehicle storage.

$4,040,000 appropriated from bond proceeds to the commissioner of administration for veterans affairs capital projects, including $1,500,000 for asset preservation improvements at veterans homes statewide, $700,000 for Minneapolis Veterans Home deep tunnel repairs and waterproofing, and $1,840,000 for Luverne and Silver Bay Veterans Homes renovations.

Commissioner of management and budget authorized to sell and issue up to $7,625,000 in state bonds for military affairs and up to $4,040,000 in state bonds for veterans affairs in accordance with Minnesota Statutes sections 16A.631 to 16A.675 and Minnesota Constitution article XI.

Appropriations may include asbestos and hazardous materials abatement related to renovation and repair projects at veterans homes.

Both sections effective the day following final enactment.
