Authorizes the personal representative of a victim's estate to request or enforce restitution orders if the victim dies before or after a restitution request is made or order is issued.

Allows an heir of the victim to file an affidavit to request or enforce a restitution order if no personal representative has been appointed and no application is pending.

Preserves the right of other victims as defined in section 611A.01 to independently request restitution orders on their own behalf.

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 611A.04, by adding a new subdivision 6 regarding estates of victims.

Becomes effective the day following final enactment.
