Amends Minnesota consumer protection law to expand private remedies available to individuals injured by violations of consumer fraud statutes, including relief and penalties previously limited to attorney general actions.

Broadens the definition of prohibited practices under consumer fraud law to include "unfair, illegally discriminatory, or unlawful" practices in addition to existing fraud and deceptive practice prohibitions.

Establishes that private civil actions alleging consumer fraud violations serve the public interest and benefit the public, potentially supporting broader standing and damages in private lawsuits.

Allows private individuals to recover damages, investigation costs, reasonable attorney's fees, and other equitable relief in civil actions against violators.
