Modifies Minnesota Statutes section 13.43, subdivision 2, regarding disclosure of personnel data for government employees, volunteers, and independent contractors.

Expands the definition of "public officials" in political subdivisions with populations over 7,500 (cities) or 5,000 (counties) to include managers, chiefs, and heads/directors of departments rather than only those directly reporting to the chief administrative officer.

Broadens the list of school district positions subject to public complaint data disclosure to include athletic directors and chief financial officers in addition to existing positions like business managers and human resource directors.

Removes the requirement that settlement agreements releasing potential legal claims arising from complaints or charges must involve "another person," allowing broader disclosure of such settlements.

Takes effect the day following final enactment.
