Commissioner of transportation may convey state-owned land in Le Sueur County to a private party, bypassing existing statutes on land conveyance procedures.

Consideration for the conveyance shall be the cost of planning, designing, acquiring, constructing, and equipping a comparable rest area facility.

Proceeds from the sale must be deposited into the safety rest area account established under Minnesota Statutes, section 160.2745.

Conveyance is subject to attorney general approval of the deed form and conditions determined by the commissioner of transportation; no direct access between marked Trunk Highway 169 and the conveyed land is permitted.
