Expands the definition of "public official" in Minnesota data practices law to include managers, chiefs, and department heads in cities over 7,500 population and counties over 5,000 population, rather than only those reporting directly to the chief administrative officer.

Adds athletic directors (with at least 50 percent administrative duties) and chief financial officers to the list of school district employees whose complaint and disciplinary data must be disclosed if investigations conclude or employees resign/are terminated.

Removes the requirement that settlement agreements involving employees under the expanded "public official" definition must involve "another person" to have complaint data released as public information.

Becomes effective the day following final enactment.
