Committing courts retain jurisdiction over persons committed as developmentally disabled or mentally ill and dangerous throughout the duration of their commitment.

Committing courts must conduct annual review hearings to determine whether continued commitment is necessary and whether the person's placement and treatment remain appropriate.

State court administrator must electronically transmit commitment information to the commissioner of human services at least biannually for all committed persons.

Required information transmitted includes the person's name, birthdate, type of commitment, time period of commitment, all facilities and programs where committed, and other pertinent information.
