Permits applicants to request that overweight and oversize permits expire on the same date as the vehicle's registration plate, rather than on separate dates.

Applies to permits issued under sections 169.826, 169.8261, 169.863, 169.865, and 169.866 of Minnesota Statutes.

Requires permit fees for annual permits expiring with vehicle registration to be calculated proportionally based on the remaining portion of the year until the expiration date.

Amends section 169.86, subdivision 5 to specify that proportional fees apply to permits with expiration dates aligned to vehicle registration dates.

Effective November 30, 2016 for all permits issued on or after that date.
