Extends peace officer authority to arrest without a warrant for nonfelony violations of domestic court orders, including restraining orders and no contact orders issued by courts.

Expands the time limit for warrantless arrests in domestic abuse cases from 24 hours to 72 hours (exclusive of the day probable cause was established).

Allows peace officers to arrest based on probable cause of nonfelony domestic abuse even when the assault did not occur in the officer's presence.

Adds specific citation to sections 518B.01 subdivision 14, 609.748 subdivision 6, and 629.75 subdivision 2 as nonfelony violations subject to arrest authority.

Effective date of August 1, 2014, for offenses committed on or after that date.
