Establishes the Minnesota Skier Safety Act (chapter 184C) to regulate skiing activities and set safety standards at ski areas in Minnesota.

Requires skiers to comply with the Skier Responsibility Code, know their ability limits, use proper equipment, and assume inherent risks of skiing including weather changes, surface conditions, collisions, and obstacles.

Requires ski area operators to maintain ski lifts to ANSI standards with annual inspections, display warning signs and trail maps, mark trail difficulty levels, barricade freestyle terrain, equip vehicles with flashing lights and flags, and provide adequate notice of known hazards.

Limits operator liability to the same caps applicable to municipalities under section 466.04, and requires actions against ski area operators to be filed within two years of incident occurrence with 180-day notice requirement for municipally owned areas.

Applies to all actions arising from incidents occurring on or after August 1, 2014.
