School boards and bargaining representatives must negotiate plans for discharge, demotion, or recall of teachers in special circumstances, separate from standard procedures.

Districts must include negotiated unrequested leave and teacher discontinuation agreements in school policies and submit electronic copies to the commissioner.

Effective July 1, 2014, applying to negotiated plans for teacher contracts with terms beginning July 1, 2015.
