Commissioner of Education must prepare and submit a written report to the legislature's education policy and finance committees by January 15, 2015, on K-12 students' experience with physical education.

Report must include daily minutes and weekly frequency of physical education for kindergarten through grade 8, and high school physical education requirements (semesters, trimesters, quarters, or school years).

Report must cover fitness assessment measures and data usage, educational preparation of physical education instructors, certified teacher instruction time, and recess time for kindergarten through grade 6.

Report must address whether high school students can substitute other activities for required physical education, percentage of students earning credits online, and availability of before/after school physical activity opportunities.

Costs of preparing the report must be funded from the Department of Education's existing operating budget.
