District One Hospital District may sell hospital property, real estate, and personal property without competitive bidding, including nine specified parcels in Rice County, Faribault.

District One Hospital District may negotiate a sale price that includes tangible and intangible personal property associated with the hospital, without advertising for bids.

Cities and towns within the hospital district must file a petition for dissolution under Minnesota Statutes section 447.38 once the hospital board determines all sale requirements are met and sufficient funds exist to pay all outstanding bond principal and interest.

Repeals Laws 1961, chapter 372, sections 1-2 and Laws 1963, chapter 118, sections 1-10, along with related 1996 amendments authorizing the original hospital district creation and governance.

Sale authorization becomes effective immediately upon final enactment; repealer becomes effective upon cities and towns filing dissolution petitions.
